Health and Action

2024 started rough for me with 4 days in bed because of food poisoning or something similar.
I don't want to admit it, but it could be the rare (raw) steak I've been eating for 3 consecutive days before it happened. It's not 100%!
Only 4 days in bed, and it affects you. It affected the rhythm I set for myself at the start of the new year. You start fast and it hits you.
I will sound like a boomer, but without optimal health you really can’t focus on your creative projects in way you could if you were 100% healthy.
In the book Creativity I was reading, all of those high performers and creators indicated that they feel lucky they didn’t have any serious illnesses and could focus completely on their work.
But it’s good to get an early hit in the face. After that, you get up, review your habits, set new goals and get back to work.
Back to new exciting projects and assignments. New goals and ambitions. Each of these things excites me immensely and when I was sick, I missed it.
A big influence and motivation for this was a Life System Workshop organized by my CEO last weekend. I attended it not knowing what to expect.
It turned out it was the push I needed to crystalize what I want for myself and what goals I'm pursuing. It helps if you say your goals out loud to a stranger at a workshop. To all my Slovenian friends, I recommend you visit it next year. Info here.
As we all know, it's also easy to talk about how you’re going to achieve your goals. It's easy when you're hyped up 2 days after the event. But after that comes the hard part.
Actually realizing your goals and going into action. Every day.

And the action has started indeed. This week I organized my 2nd Travel Massive meetup in Slovenia. It was a chill discussion about the impacts of web3 in tourism. A discussion I didn't have for a while and it's interesting to compare how I think about the same topic now as I did 3 years ago when I started working on web3 travel projects.
Definitely more pragmatic and realistic than before. More like: show me the real value, show me the real problems this is solving. Maybe more in a stoic way.
While I'm writing this, I'm packing for a new work trip - this time to Madrid to attend the FITUR fair. The biggest Spanish speaking fair in the travel industry.
If you're there, let's catch up!
All the best from Narnia (just kidding, it’s Slovenia). Had to clean the snow first before I can leave for Madrid.
Expect to hear from me after FITUR with some updates and insights.
Talk soon,
Rudi
Yeah, without health, all projects are somewhat meaningless.
Is there anything promising happening in the Web3 travel scene?
