In 2020, I started my own podcast on tourism and I have to admit that I was terrified. At the time, all sorts of thoughts were running through my head. What will others think about me, it will be weird, no one would listen, etc. I am glad that I had the support of my mentor Dejan and my closest friends who encouraged me to keep going. And I did, until episode 28. Suddenly, about a year ago, I decided enough was enough. For no particular reason, I just did not feel like it anymore.
Since then, I've been writing a few blog posts and articles about travel, web3, books, etc. every now and then when I felt like it. All this time I wanted to write more regularly, but the excuse was that I'm not sure what topic to start with since I'm interested in many topics. So the day comes when I decide to just start and see how it goes. The beginning is now also much easier than 2 years ago.
In this newsletter I plan to reflect on my thoughts about travel and travel philosophies based on my work and travel experiences, the things I read/see, and the people I talk to.
I consider this as my own journal which I share with you, the reader. As it’s a journal, it will be a free-flow piece and it may be sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. It will be like the cocktail in a bar in Slovenia called ‘‘Inspiration in the moment’’ (literal translation) where the drink you get depends on the bartender’s inspiration. Sometimes you may love it, sometimes you won’t.
Since I'm very curious and interested in many different things related to travel, culture, and technology, the type of content I write about can vary from time to time. I think it's only natural that this newsletter will also evolve and change as I grow and learn about new things and uncover different layers of travel and life. If you're feeling adventurous, this newsletter might be for you :)
See you in your inbox every Sunday at 18:00 CET.
